Thrive in 5: New Faculty Conference
August 8 - August 10
The New Faculty Conference introduces new faculty to the mission, vision and values of the University. The conference also offers a variety of activities to explore and enhance teaching practice and to help faculty learn about the support and resources available to help them, and their students, succeed.

Thrive in 5 is a series of five key events to welcome new faculty into the Southeast teaching and learning community and communicate the core Southeast values of student success, teaching excellence, access and diversity, and community. Some of these events occur in a day, some occur over a series of days, and some reoccur over the course of the academic year.
Thrive in 5 introduces new faculty to benefits and facilities available to the Southeast community. The events provide basic information and orientation to navigate the challenges of the first year. New faculty are connected with experienced Southeast faculty early in the process for guidance with both the University ecosystem and with the surrounding area. Once the semester starts, the Thrive in 5 program extends into the academic year with seven themed events led by the President or the Provost.
