The Clothesline Project Display
October 1 - October 3free
Campus Violence Prevention invites all students, staff and faculty to participate in Southeast’s Clothesline Project to kick-off Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Survivors are invited to create T-shirts and supporters are offered clothespins to decorate as a symbol of their support. To arrange supplies or support, contact Donna St. Sauver at email@example.com.
The Clothesline Project originated in Hyannis, Massachusetts in 1990 when members of Cape Cod’s Women’s Defense Agenda learned that during the same time 58,000 soldiers were killed in the Vietnam War, 51,000 U.S. women were killed by the men who claimed to love them.
