The exhibition is an investigation of the history of the banjo and its direct link to African string instruments, leading to the creation of sculptural works focusing on material as content and the re-contextualizing of various wood quality and forms.

The reception is Sept. 1 from 4-8 p.m. and the artist talk is at 6 p.m. in the Crisp Museum.
